|Anyone suicidal enough to enter this one?
Richard G., Scoffa and myself, so far!
Just seen the climbs and it makes last year's The Struggle (original version) seem tame by comparison.
First climb is Boltby Bank, fondly remembered by those who did the NSPCC two day sportive a few years back - it's way steeper than the 20% suggested by 100 Greatest Climbs, probably touching 30%, but manageable enough after only 15 miles.
The Glaisedale Horror (at 85 miles) seems to live up to its name, with opinion erring towards it being tougher than Rosedale Chimney, which I've failed at twice (wrong gears!), but never attempted after 90 miles!!
I'm not familiar with the other climbs, although they seem manageable, also.
Nice start and finish at Ampleforth college, although it'll be an early start to drive out on the morning, unless you opt for the accommodation.
Get your entries in, for a really vicious sportive!!
